We’ve done it! The Voël NYC hair studio is now open and I couldn’t be more excited. This has been a dream of mine for a long time, so to bring everything together now and open Voël Hair’s first (but by no means last) home makes me so happy! Let me tell you more…

Why Voël Hair Studio Now?

Over the last couple of years, I have been BUSY!!! (Yay!).

Demand from clients for hair extensions that are specially designed for their fine hair has gone crazy!

Not only is there more demand from clients for hair extensions that are specially designed for their fine hair, but more stylists are finding that Voël extensions are easy to work with - especially when it comes to retouches. This is exactly what I set out to do, so Yay!... again!

I’m also ecstatic that Voël is making waves (literally, and they look great) in the entertainment industry. That’s partly because they’re so quick and easy to apply and remove but also because the extensions blend so seamlessly.

Award-winning hairstylist Mandy Lyons recently left me this feedback after using Voël to create a myriad of looks for Vanessa Hudgen’s on Tick Tick Boom:

“I couldn’t have achieved all the looks for Vanessa’s character without extra amazingly natural-looking extensions.”

THIS is why I created Voël! And this is why now is the perfect time to open Voël’s first studio.

Why Midtown Manhattan?

I wanted Voël to become part of the fabric of the neighborhood so there was really no better place to be based than New Yorks’s Garment and Fashion District. The neighborhood exudes creativity, style, and a vibrancy that’s intoxicating. Being surrounded by the showrooms and workshops of New York City's - and the world’s - biggest fashion labels gives me a constant source of inspiration and motivation. I love it.

I also wanted to make sure it was within easy reach for clients who travel in from any borough: Jersey, Brooklyn, Queens all have great connections to Midtown.

That’s why I picked the location: 545 8th Avenue just between W 37th and 38th Street (it also happens to have an amazing bakery next

Voël Hair Studio: My Happy Place - and Yours!

Having my own studio where I get to completely immerse myself in my passion is a dream come true. It truly is my happy place.

Of course, I want it to be a happy place for my clients and stylists too so I’ve made the studio’s vibe fun, eclectic, and comfortable - a place you walk into and immediately want to just hang out. Music is a must, so we’ve created some fun playlists to take us through the day - mellow tunes in the morning, and then once the caffeine has kicked in, we kick it up a notch.

What’s on offer at the Hair Studio?

As the NYC home of Voël, the main course, is naturally, Voël hair extensions, served by both myself and my incredible lead stylist, Christina Giarrizzo. Haircuts and keratin treatments are also on the menu.

For stylists who are in New York, I will also be running Voël certification courses both one-on-one and in small groups. Online certification will, of course, still be available.

How to get an appointment or book a certification class?

The easiest way to make an appointment is via this link to the booking page. For new clients, we do an initial consultation, either via Zoom or in person, so we can take a look at hair color for matching and discuss hair goals (fullness? length? both?) to determine how many packs of hair are needed. Then we lock in an appointment date.

For Voël certification class, please get in contact with me via email: kim@voelhair.com

I cannot wait to “voëlcome” you to the studio. See you soon!
