WRITEEN BY - KIMBERLY GUELDNER, FOUNDER & OWNER OF VOËL HAIR EXTENSIONS

This was my first Print Shoot with Kim, and it was a pleasure to work with such a professional and collaborate with her and her great team.

After looking at the clothing options we decided to go with an effortless and textured look.

To build the look:

+ I started with the Sexyhair Big Root Pump sprayed at the root and mid shaft on wet hair. One of my lead stylists, Ashley, turned me onto this product recently and it is already one of my favs to create volume at the roots.

+ Next I blowdried with a flat brush, concentrating on the roots.

+ Then I did a roller set with 1.5 inch iron.

+ After her hair was set, I brushed it out and straightened her ends with a flat iron. I added textured waves with the flat iron and a curling iron, leaving the ends out.

+ Finally, I finished the look with Unite Terturiza Spray. This is a product I always keep handy in my kit. It works great for hair that’s too soft and needs a little grit, but it wont make it too stiff so you’ll still have movement.

To create this look at home:

+ Spray SexyHair Big Root Pump at your roots, then rough dry using your fingers to lift your hair at the roots. You can also flip your head over to create volume.

+ After your hair is mostly dry, smooth it with a round or flat brush. Pick a few small sections of hair from around your crown and top and wrap with a curling iron to frame your face. If your hair gets too curly, run a flat iron over the wave to loosen it.

+ Lastly, shake your hair out and finish with Unite Terturiza Spray. If you still have a few flyaways use a light hold hairspray to tame, the Unite Terturiza Spray has enough grit so you wont need a strong hold hairspray.

*Note: If your hair in on the frizzier side, use a cream or oil with the root spray when you blow dry before adding waves.

•PRO TIP•

You can change the texture of your hair with the size of your curling iron. A larger barrel gives you subtle texture, while a smaller barrel give you a tighter texture.
